COVID-19 SAFETY
We are SO very happy to have you all back and appreciate your patience and flexibility with our staff at the time as we all adjust to this new normal. We have used many resources at our disposal to try and anticipate any and all situations/concerns.
Here is a list of what we are doing to keep you and our staff safe by utilizing the guidelines provided by the Governor’s office and Virginia Department of Health (VDH). We have gone above and beyond their requirements!
Requested by Health Department:
Signage reminding everyone to maintain social distancing and signage to encourage frequent handwashing
Implementation of enhanced cleaning/sanitation protocols (hourly wipe downs, etc.)
Face coverings for all employees
Requiring employees to take temperatures before coming to work and adhering to VDH health guidelines for and and ALL illnesses
What ELSE we are doing to keep you and our staff safe and healthy:
Hand sanitizing station at the front door. Hand sanitizer at top of stairs at entry to pool room and one provided in a central location for our staff.
We have a temporal thermometer on property to help with temperature checks if needed for employees/guests. We do require employees to self monitor and not report to work if they have a fever or display any signs of illness.
Installation of TOUCHLESS antibacterial hand soap dispensers in all bathrooms, behind bars and in kitchen.
Hourly wipe down of frequently touched surfaces, handrails, push plates, bathroom areas, etc.
Hourly wipe down of frequently touched surfaces in our kitchen. As always, cleaning and sanitizing all surfaces between each shift in the kitchen.
As always, a thorough cleaning of all areas of the restaurant each morning, including an initial wipedown of each table/chair, barstool, etc. to ensure cleanliness upon first use and all bathroom areas.
Offering wrapped plastic silverware (upon request). Otherwise, silverware has been wrapped by gloved employee. Offering wrapped paper straws upon request.
Gloved employee delivering any food products to your table.
Using pre-packaged dressing/condiments, when available, to reduce contact with more than one person. Any other condiments (tartar sauces, Terry’s mustard) portioned as normal, by gloved/masked kitchen staff trained in food safety and stored per VDH guidelines.
Two (2) ServSafe Certified Food Managers in kitchen (which requires an 8 hour course & exam) and EVERY kitchen member has taken the food handler safety course.
Sanitizing of each table and chair after use with approved anti-bacterial/anti-viral product.
Our kitchen, as always, has been operating with a dish machine that sanitizes and cleans at the approved VDH guidelines and is regularly maintained.
Weekly sanitizing of the entire restaurant using an electrostatic process approved and recommended by the CDC and completed by a licensed company.
